Paul Greif

Ceramicist Paula Greif spent most of her working life as an Art Director in publishing, and directing TV commercials and music videos. It wasn’t until she took a pottery class a few years back that she began her current path of making things from clay.

Living and works in a narrow house in Hudson, NY, she began creating bottles for friends, and is inspired by the work of 20th century studio potters: Lucie Rie, Beatrice Wood, and the Japanese artist Rosanjin-Kitaoji, as well as Mexican folk pottery and American stoneware bottles.
