Rich Aybar

Richard Aybar (b. 1983) is a Dominican-American sculptor and furniture designer exploring materiality, memory, and craft. He founded RA Workshop in 2019, focusing on fine art and sustainable design. Born in New York City and raised partly in the Dominican Republic, his work draws on Dominican culture, including Diablo Cojuelo imagery, roadside crafts, and organic materials like rubber and sap.

In 2024, he exhibited at Miami Basel with Alcova, presenting rubber urns, vessels, and playful forms. His work blends natural and synthetic materials, merging personal history with experimentation to create sculptural pieces that reflect cultural identity and environmental awareness.
