DANA ARBIB: VETRO TESORO
New York, NY—TIWA Gallery presents VETRO TESORO (“Glass Treasure”), Dana Arbib’s third exhibition with the gallery. Building on her collaborations with Murano glassmakers, Arbib shifts from natural references to the refined ornamentation of antique Chinese snuff bottles, objects that captivated her for their intimacy and grandeur. The show features five chandeliers and sconces that scale the bottles’ intricate palettes of jade, deep maroon, forest greens into glowing architectural forms. Petal-like details soften and adorn each piece, transforming personal treasures into luminous environments. VETRO TESORO continues Arbib’s cross-cultural research, merging Venetian craft with global histories of beauty, exchange, and ornament.
